People who are sentenced to longer than 12 months are typically relocated to state prison. These solutions may include job programs, an opportunity to improve education, substance abuse treatment, and vocational training. If they’re sentenced to less than 12 months they are going to be housed at the county jail through the time period of their sentence. Nearly all people who are incarcerated start out at the county jail while awaiting court or sentencing hearing.
